We hand select all of our lumber & we ensure that they come from responsibly harvested forests.

Glass Types:
Dual Pane, Single Pane, Laminated, Low-E, Leaded, Obscured, etc ... all of these are available OPTIONS. Many other combinations are available; it depends on the project & the application. We can advise you on the best performance & look for any given situation, whether it’s for “UV” protection or “Security” concern. All of our Insulated (Dual Pane) Glass is dual sealed & warranted.

Screen Types:
We can produce a number of different OPTIONS when it comes to screens. We can make swinging or pocketing Wood Screens with 1 lite or True Divide Lites to match the sash or doors, Rollaway Screens with Copper Bronze or Fiber mesh & other combinations. When putting all of the window & door details together, we can present & discuss these options at that time.

Hinges:
It really depends on the operation of the window or door --- ball bearing Butt Hinges, European Barrel Hinges, SOSS Concealed Hinges, Pivoting Hinges, Concealed Scissor Hinges, etc… Most of our hinges are either solid brass or stainless steel, to ensure longevity, no matter where or what the application is.

Locks, Hardware, Thresholds, Weather-stripping:
On our French Doors, Sliders, Tilt & Turns, French Casements & Awnings – Multi Point locks are a standard, even though Traditional hardware is also available. We also offer a combination of brass handles for the windows & doors or you can substitute Surface Bolts, Flush Bolts, Cremone Bolts, etc. Depending on what the look & application is. On traditional Double Hungs, we use heavy-duty sash locks & lifts, ball bearing pulleys & solid bronze chain. All of our door thresholds are made of solid Bronze. All hardware noted is available in a variety of different finishes, as required. Please keep in mind that we always use solid brass, bronze or stainless steel hardware & components. If something is not available in these materials, we will then use chromate steel components or advise you otherwise. All of our windows & doors are also fully weather-stripped, in a variety of different ways, to prevent water & air infiltration, in any application.

Pre-Finishing
All of our windows and doors are available with complete finishing. This is a must for any exterior product because we can seal all of the sides of the windows & doors prior to assembly of hardware, glass or weather-stripping. Whether you’re painting, staining or distressing them, we are able to work with your design needs to achieve the look that you want. We will provide you with various OPTIONS & complete samples of all of the finishes, prior to applying them on the windows and doors. This way you will have an opportunity to fully review the colors and make any necessary changes or adjustments. Unlike the choices you get from other companies, you will be in complete control and know that you are not limited to just a few finishes.

Shop Drawings
Before we begin fabrication of any of the windows & doors, they will be fully reflected, in full-scale AutoCAD shop drawings. We will sit down with you & develop any necessary information, to achieve the design and function of your choosing. Afterwards, we will submit the first set of shop drawings. During this process, you will have an opportunity to fully review all of the elevations and sections of each and every window and door and make any necessary changes to sizes, shapes, glass & wood types, hardware, etc…. Once everything is adjusted and approved, we will revise the drawings and begin fabrication.
